Dr Valentina Buscemi is a Chartered Physiotherapist and Lecturer with expertise in pain management and the rehabilitation of complex chronic pain conditions. With more than 15 years of experience, she treats persistent and chronic pain — including musculoskeletal pain, fibromyalgia, generalised pain, headache, neuropathic and visceral pain — particularly where it has proven resistant to more traditional physiotherapy.
Through a coaching approach, she offers an integrated body-mind pain management service, teaching tools to ease pain symptoms, regain physical function and improve overall quality of life. Alongside traditional pain management techniques, she draws on a cognitive-behavioural framework (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, or ACT) as well as Polyvagal Theory, self-regulation techniques, breathwork and mindfulness. Sessions are mostly experiential, combining bodywork with physical, cognitive and behavioural exercises tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
