Elisa played volleyball professionally in Italy for 19 years, competing in regional and national competitions from the age of 6. With a degree in Sport Science from Magna Graecia University, she began her career as a Kinesiologist and Personal Trainer more than 10 years ago, working for MIUR (the Italian Ministry of Education) as a physical education teacher and leading her own Pilates and postural exercise classes alongside orthopaedic specialists, physiotherapists and osteopaths.

Since moving to the UK in 2013, she has worked as a senior Personal Trainer, Pilates instructor, corrective-exercise specialist and lifestyle performance coach, with a particular interest in women's health, PCOS, and pre- and post-natal fitness. She is a qualified EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) trainer and Movementum coach, and trains a range of clients including professional athletes.

Elisa is the creator of EG Pilates, a method combining classical Pilates principles — control, alignment, concentration, coordination, flowing movement, breathing and relaxation — with flexibility, mobility, stability, strength and mindfulness, aimed at building high-performing, well-functioning bodies.
