Dr Giulia Benedetti is a Consultant Radiologist at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust with a subspecialty interest in cardio-thoracic imaging. She has extensive experience in thoracic disease, including lung cancer, pulmonary hypertension and interstitial lung disease, as well as in cardiac imaging.
She completed her Radiology Training at San Raffaele University in Milan, Italy, where she developed her subspecialty interest in Cardiac CT, CT for the assessment of valve disease, Cardiac Magnetic Resonance, and thoracic pathologies, alongside an interest in AI and machine learning. In 2016, she completed a clinical and research fellowship in Cardiac Imaging at Barts Heart Centre.
She is the author/co-author of several peer-reviewed scientific papers on cardiothoracic imaging, regularly teaches radiology and cardiology registrars and fellows, and has presented at national and international conferences. She is a member of several radiological societies, including the Royal College of Radiologists, the British Society of Thoracic Imaging, the British Society of Cardiac Computed Tomography, the European Society of Thoracic Imaging, and the European Society of Cardiovascular Radiology.
